Many here have seen photos of the new services that SQ will offer on the 777-300. Knowing that TPE is a cheap point of origin, I priced out the follwoing:

TPE-ICN (TG, C)
ICN-SFO (SQ, F)
SFO-LAX (UA, F)

Total is $1850.

That's a damn good fare for these flights!

If you want to slum it in business class, the fare drops to $1200.

That is ridiculously cheap. I've never seen a first class fare that cheap across the Pacific, especially on a premium carrier like SQ rather than one of the lower quality first classes.

If you have never designed an airplane part before, let the real designers do the work!

They may be booked in F inventory, but they are NOT full-First Class fares. They are deeply discounted first class fares. You can discount the F inventory just like any other. It's probably inflexible and non-refundable..although not necessarily. But like i said, it's not FULL F.

I just had to check this out - sounded too good to be true..... Just looked at ITA Software and it would appear you are correct my friend..... Have to keep an eye on that one if indeed it is the 777-300.

Even in their new 'J' class, $1200.00 and change is a steal.

Can anyone *please* post a web site for those of us without access to ITA software? I would love to be able to afford SQ's F class (or C for that matter) for my trip from Asia to SFO in January or Feb.

I wish the fares are that cheap out of US, just priced out BR ED class to TPE, $1200 after tax, I know it's close to New Year but still. MH offers discount C/J class fares out of TPE sometimes too, $1500 RT.

It's important to do some homework before posting! This is, indeed, a "FOW" fare, full flexible, F fare. It is not a discount "A" fare, but SQ's full F. (It's the most expensive SQ F fare in the TPE-LAX market). Here is the fare matrix according to expertflyer.com:

Departing: TPE Results Per Page:

Arriving: LAX

Depart Date:
06/14/07

Notes:
The fares listed do not include airport and/or security fees.

Add a stop in HKG as well!

Weird, SQ don't fly F on TPE-LAX or ICN-SFO. Is F a business class fare as well?

Both are currently two class planes. But come nest year, the ICN-SFO vv. will become a three class 77W. The services begins three times a week, but will expand to daily later on. And don't forget, these are on the new product, being rolled out as we speak!

I priced a trip TPE-LAX-TPE on Jan 14 with return on May 22 on SQ and got a fare of about $2300. Is there anyway I can get that to drop below the $2000 mark like the OP encountered? Normally I'd snatch that fare, but I have to still get to TPE from HAN. And interestingly enough, couldn't find a flight from HAN to TPE on EVA Air - but I am positive I saw one of their MD-82s in HAN when I was last there over the summer. Could anyone help - I want to get to TPE cost effectively! Thanks!
