TWA In The Good Old Days

What was it like to fly TWA in the good old days (1960's-1970's)? Was the service excellent in all classes of service?

I rode them in 1979 on a 707 and an L1011. It seemed like good service although I was only 4 at the time. All airlines had better service then.

Back then twa was top ranked with ual. and for a little while twa was bigger than anyone ! but now sw is bigger :(
