I'm not one of those that thinks a go around is major news but since Kai Tak closed I've only seen three !!. During bad weather at Kai Tak you could see 40 plus go arounds !!
Today B-18703 747-400F, the newest aircraft in their fleet had a gear problem and had to cancel its landing attempt. He was going to come back for a low pass so the airport staff could check the gear but when he put the gear down it was all OK so he landed.

You can find the recievers at Ap liu street in HK. The price ranges a lot, from about 650- a few thousand for better models. I bought one at 650, its pretty good and clear. But looks like you;re in UK??right?haha~

The best place to buy them in Hong Kong would be Ap Liu Street in Sham Shui Po. I would buy it in the UK if I had the choice as they have special shops just for aviation stuff.
The guy today started to mix up the flight numbers and the airline names !!!

For the tunning part, you'll know when you buy the reciever. Every model is different, but as well they are more or less the same. You can get the list of frequencies at CAD webpage at the AIP section.Find it , it's useful!!
