U.S. carriers seen extending Boeing’s bull run

(Crain’s) — Boeing Co. anticipates orders for new planes from big U.S. carriers to start coming late next year or in early 2008, prolonging a rally that has put the Chicago-based planemaker back on top of the global aviation industry.

Delta is actively assessing its fleet needs, and plans for any future orders will be included when its roadmap for getting out of bankruptcy protection is presented to creditors and the bankruptcy court by the end of this month, a Delta spokeswoman said.
