Hey,

I heard from a friend who heard from a WLG ops guy that it was discovered yesterday that part of the south end of the runway is crumbling/breaking away, causing all departures to have rolling starts. He didn't go into details. Anyone know anything about this? Is it significant? I beleive this is the same end where the extention work is happening at the moment.

Cheers

Correct... it's not a serious issue though as it's not actually the runway pavement surface. It was a tack coat layer south of the 16 runway end lights... the problem was fixed last night
