During all your flying experiences, what has been the best airline you have ever flown with and to where?? and on the other end of the scale, what has been the worst airline thta you ever flew with. Im my experience, the best airline that I have flown with is a close call between Air Canada and British Midland. I flew Air Canada A319 from YYZ to LGA, great service for such a short flight. I've flown BD from DUB to LHR many times by A321 and I find them much better than EI.
Worst airline, by far would have to be Air 2000, flying from Dublin to Hereklion on holidays last year. Leg room was terrible on the B757. I suppose thats what you get from flying with acharter airline.

My personal favorite flight ever was from Singapore to Amsterdam Via Kuwait. I was bumped off a Singapore Airlines flight and offered a free night in Singapore or a flight on another carrier. I opted to take the other carrier but never asked who I'd be flying with. I was a bit shocked to say the least that I would be flying Kuwait Airways. I did not have to worry though as they were brilliant and totally unexpected. I had to change planes in Kuwait and had to wait four hours but that's not their fault. Since then I have flown with them two more times and will again next year. Their A340's are neat and tidy and clean.
My worst flight was not the airlines fault but rather the weather. I was flying from the regeonal city of Dubbo to Sydney on Air NSW in an F27-500. The weather was foul and stormy, we had turbulence just taxying, people were sick everywhere and the trip was a real roller coaster. I was glad when the one hour flight was over. Come to think of it I remember a very steep descent into Sydney that afternoon as well. I remember breaking through the clouds on a sharp bank and seeing the runway below us, never seen that before.

My best was ona BA B747-200 from LHR to Vancouver, good food, friendly stewads/esses and god entertainment (although no PTV's)...when I asked for more ice cream, the steward gave me so much more not just ONE bar...and everyone clapped upon landing! It was in August '99

BEST: Emirates A310-300 Economy class from Karachi to Dubai, great a/c, great interior, great crew, one stewardess was particularly kind, good food, great entertainment, gave us free stay overnight at a local hotel as we were in transit to London, wonderful experience overall
WORST: Philippine airlines 747-200 Club class Karachi-Frankfurt-LondonGW, dirty a/c, chipped interior furnishing,bad food,bad service,bad entertainment,apathetic crew,very disappointing

Best: Probably CP BKK-YYZ, or AC YYZ-YHZ. Great cabin crew made up somewhat for inefficiencies elsewhere. Especially kudos to CP staff - this was in the days leading up to the merger.
Worst: Swissair MD-11 BKK-TPE. The plane didn't arrive at the gate until about an hour after the scheduled take-off time. The cabin crew were (from what I gather) unusually rude by SR standards. The interior rattled quite a bit, and they could've replaced a few TV monitors.

The best would have to be Air Canada #672, SFO-YUL. The A319 was clean and the service was great. And I can't forget that jumpseat landing...
The worst would be United #961, CDG-SFO. First they messed up my seat reservations. Then, their channel 9 audio was broken; that ruined the ENTIRE flight! Additionally, the IFE was quite inadequate and one of the bathrooms ran out of toilet paper! The only good thing? I was on a Triple Seven for over 11 hours.

The best airline I've flown with is British Airways from Verona (Italy) to Gatwick. The plane was a 737-200 and the service was really good for a short flight (less than 2 hours). Then i flew only twice ; one with Tunisair (A.320-charter,Verona- Monastir), and one with ATI (former Alitalia regional brand - MD-80,Bologna-Alghero in Sardegna) , but i can't say they were bad flights.

The best airline that I have flown with is and will always be Delta. This past May/June, I flew on Delta to LAX-MEX-LAX, and believe me, their service was beyond excellent. The flight attendants were really nice, and even offered us more food if we'd like. The food was great, and overall, the entire flight was smooth.
Now the worst airline I have ever flown with is Mexicana. This was from MEX to ZIH (Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo, Mex.). Believe me, it was the worst I have ever flown on (this was in 93). There was this funny sound on the airplane that I got me kind of scared. Not only that, but the flight attendants weren't that nice. I have to admit that Aeromexico is way better than Mexicana in terms of service.
Overall, Delta is the best! That's why when I fly to MEX from LAX, I fly on DELTA BABY!

My best flight was probably in August of 1999. It was a Delta MD-11 from ATL-LGW. What made it so great is that it was my first time in Business elite. The flight left a little bit late, but I didn't really care. The seats, movies, and food were all great. I don't remember what I had for breakfast, but for dinner, I had roast duck as the main course. There was also bread, salad, ice cream, and several other things. Also, the movies that I watched were Entrapment and The Mummy. Business elite was even better than I had expected.

Worst, no contest- AA, return portion of a family trip DFW-SNA-DFW; flight west was fine, but AA cancelled the SNA-DFW flight with no notice (well, they left a message on my phone at homein Dallas- they knew where I was in CA- they booked the whole trip!)- at the airport, the most surly and unhelpful crew of butt-munchers couldn't be troubled to take ANY action to help any of the displaced pax. THey were saying they'd get us there by three am, via ORD (where snowstorms were raging); try that with a 4-year-old, plus I had to be in court next morning (sorry judge, I was at Disney land. Right).
So, I ran down the hall and booked a flight on AW via Phoenix (AA said that there were no available itineraries on other airlines) for the three of us- $1300.00 on the plastic.
All in all, the most pathetic excuse for customer service ever in hte history of the known world (!).
Late night flight, Braniff, Miami to Quito via Panama City- December 1977. Don't know why it was so cool- it just was. The FA's treated everyone like royalty, good food, new places, DC-8's (ex-Panagra), just cool all the way around.
In modern times, Legend. Try 'em!

My best flight was just a couple of weeks ago from San Juan to Pittsburgh on USAIR's beautiful A320. Everything about this flight was amazing. The plane itself was beautiful and almost brand new looking. The flight was smooth and it turned out to be almost 30 minutes early. On the other hand my worst flight was aboard a Canada 3000 A319 from Los Angeles to Toronto. The seats were so cramped together it was impossible to get comfortable, as well as the fact that we hit a huge air pocket on takeoff and dropped suddenly. The rest of the flight was very bumpy as well.

Best: Singapore Airlines
Worst: 1. American Eagle ORD-MSN. We took off an hour behind schedule, then had to turn back to Chicago because the cargo door was not shut properly. The flight was then cancelled so I had to take the bus. Arrived MSN at 2 AM on a cold January night. The flight would have taken about 30 minutes!
2. United Airlines ORD-SFO. Flight was delayed about 1.5 hours last summer because of crew shortage. After boarding, the captain said the ATC had to give them a new route plan because of approaching t-storms. After the problem with ATC was fixed, we had to wait another 30 mins because the ground push-back crew was having a changeover. While taxiing to the runway, the FAs reported they had a problem with the oven in the galley. Waited for another 30 mins for the captain to inspect the problem and contact the ground staff. Finally we took off about 3 hours behind schedule. FAs, however, were very very friendly. Offering many extra drinks on the 4-hr flight, and asked the passengers if they need any help with connections in SFO. The best FAs I've seen in United!
