Dear all,
I would love to get comments on Diners Club lounges around the airports of the world- are they worth having a Diners Club card?

I am a Silver member in Star Alliance- does anybody know if I have an access to any Star Alliance member airline´s Silver lounge at airports or just the airline´s that I am a member at? Are there usually Silver lounges or just Gold?
Thank you!

I think it goes like this:

If you fly economy then you have only access to the lounges of your own airline. If you fly business then you have access to all of them.

At least thats the rule for the Lufthansa cards. But you should have received a brochure with these details.

Regards, OE-LDA

Erela.

Unfortunately I can't say much of Diners Club because here in Mexico the card is no longer available. As a formet Citibank employee, we all had them and never used the lounges, but I can tell you about the American Express lounges. As a Platinum member, I have access to Mexico's Centurion Club and it worth the price. You have a club with a superb atmosphere, complementary drinks, snaks, newspaper, etc. there is a money exchange office where you can buy any currency you need on your international trip, plus you can pay your Amex card. I know that AMEX has lounges in Germany, Ecuador and some other countries. I am just happy to have access to them.
Other benefit for Amex Platinum members is access to Northwests Worldclubs and Continentals Presidents Clubs if you have a ticket to fly on any of this two airlines (doesn't matter if you fly economy with discounted fares or ff benefit).
Hope this post helps you.

Rojo

I am very pleased for your answers!
American express is not evry widely used here in Northern Europe where I live at the moment so I won´t start using that card but thanks to the competition of credit cards i would assume Diners would have to have similar lounges and services to that of Amex.
