now that Canadian airlines is no more can their beautiful 'Canada Goose' logo be bought by someone who wants to start an airline any where in the world?

Probably not because there is still a bunch of stuff with the goose on it. Examples include Stationary etc. AC will probably keep it as a registered Trademark.

The Goose is a registered Trademark of Air Canada, thats the official position.

If you wanted to use the goose, you could use it if you changed it a bit. All you would have to do it add an eye to the goose and maybe change the colour, and legally it would not be a problem, although I'm sure AC would find a way to get it struck down.

I believe that the CP trademarks were used used as collateral with the Royal Bank. These trademarks would now be Air Canada's, though, so no, they're not available.

Today at YYC I noticed just how beautiful the "proud wings" livery is/was. But yes, sadly Air Canada owns the trademarks.

I bought a beautiful Canadi>n "proud wings" model and have it proudly displayed.

Yet another reason people will miss CP.......
