Nice to see the latest equivalent of "Big Orange" at Paine Field awaiting delivery to TNT as OO-THA. It is due to deliver December 20th and I think Nick Dean's attached photo is the only remotely sunny shot taken.

Nice! That's one sweet colourscheme on that 747. Now I hope that 5X's first 744 will come soon. Big grin

I love the livery, but the tail logo is too small. Maybe they should have taken the rear-fuselage logo, made it bigger and slanted it up onto the tail. The orange nose is fantastic though.

That's a really nice looking B747. I've always loved that TNT color scheme!  thumbsup

Thats a livery perfectly fitting the 747. One big logo on the tail instead of two in different sizes on the rear of the aircraft would have been enough though.

Indeed a very nice livery! I also like the color design on the winglet. Congrats to TNT on their first brandnew 744ERF.

That really is nice! Jade cargo has a similar concept using a lovely dark green colour. There is just something about a solid, striking colour that suits the shape of the 747 nose section so well  bigthumbsup !

Come to think of it, most airlines colour schemes look much better on freighters. Perhaps it is the lack of windows and simpler fuselage that allows better continuity of the colour scheme that does the trick? The short upper deck and winglets goes together very nicely IMHO yes !

I absolutely agree with you on your opinion. Most airline colorschemes indeed look better on freighters. You gave an excellent example with the Air China Cargo 744F photo link. That's one excellent livery with the cheatline without the windows "blocking" the cheatline so to speak. Very nice liveries Big grin

I´ve to agree as well. Cargo aircraft look nicer.

And the more I look at the picture of the TNT 744ERF the more I think this is the most beautiful freighter around.

What I remember TNT will base the 744ERF in LGG for nonstop flights to China (PVG). I've been to LGG for a week of introductory courses at PO back in 2004 and it is a nice airport and nice city as well. The food is great at very reasonable prices and the city is nice too.

Good luck to TNT in LGG and their first 744ERF Big grin

You're right, great livery and fantastic contrast, but the tail fades off in comparison. Maybe stronger imaging or a larger logo on the tail would have rounded things off nicely.

Duncank...i like a lot the TNT'S colour scheme. I'm plastimodelmaker and i built a bae146 of TNT with this colour scheme, was a 1/144 scale, from Revell-DE.
The photo was on my aviation, and i looked many times, TNT are my favourite cargo airline, thanks for the photo, great!!! Big grin  Big grin  Wink

What would happen to the aircraft is UPS purchases TNT? Does TNT itself, own the aircraft?
