Sirte Oil Company has placed an order for one EMBRAER 170 jet. With this contract, Embraer gains its first customer in Libya, with delivery scheduled for March 2007. This firm order was already accounted for in Embraer’s orderbook as "undisclosed", therefore the current order backlog is not affected by this announcement.
Configured in a spacious single-class 76-seat layout, the EMBRAER 170 will be used to transport company personnel from the main base in Marsa El Brega to Tripoli and many other station points owned by Sirte Oil Company within Libya.

Quoting Remcor (Reply 3): Or better yet, a E170 with the 190's wings. That puppy would have some long legs.
That is a must! And I think it will sell very well. The Lineage 1000 is great but I think it is a bit large for most corporations. I see an E-170 (w/ E-190 wing) would be much closer to a Gulfstream V or a Falcon 7X.
