Taking a guess here, but the MD-10-30(F) would have the center landing gear and the MD-10-10(F), would not.

Absolutely. The MD-10 conversion was certainly available for passenger operators. NWA looked at it quite seriously prior to 9/11 and likely would have proceeded if not for events.

The cargo conversion is simply one phase of the MD-10 program. Passenger airlines could still take advantage of 2-man cockpit retrofit and its benefits.

The difference is the center landing gear, another difference we cannot see...the range, the DC-10-30, OR MD-10-30 is used for long-haul routes, like GRU, instead of MD-10-10, used by Fedex in domestic routes in USA.
