Libyan Arab Airways is close to finalize the deal for 25 pax and 4 cargo planes. The passenger aircraft capacity ranges from 100 to 350.

This helps the network expansion to cover South Africa, Europe, Far East (India/China)

It also plans link to North America.

It already launched 2 weekly Tripoli - Milan on 18NOV06, and considering Madrid, Paris, Lyon.

While this is unlikely... the only realistic cities IMHO would be Montreal or New York City.

Mostly likely its going to be a split order to appease both Washington and the EU.

My bet is on Airbus.They will lease some planes first and then start delivery.
