I've often wondered how airlines handle airport staffing in HUB cities where more than one airport is served. For example, does AA simply swing DFW employees over to DAL to run operations, or does DAL have dedicated AA employees completely separate from DFW? Same scenario for:
And of course any others I may have failed to recall.

Any employee can hold mutiple SIDA badges.....I had a DTW and an IAD badge when I was with DH. As far as seniority is concerned, why not just put DAL shifts on a DFW bid? DAL staffing would then be seniority compliant.

At BA our ID's can be used to operate out of any of the UK's airports.
BA flies out of both LHR or LGW, but crew belong to only one of 3 'fleets'.
They are LHR Worldwide, flying longhaul detinations from LHR. LHR Eurofleet, flying domestic/european routes from LHR. And Single Fleet LGW which operate domestic, european and long haul services from LGW.
We all work to different agreements & working practices so we don't tread on each others turf
