Opinions On EMB-145 Vs. Candair CRJ

Just wondering what people on this forum thought about the two different RJ's.

I think that both types are taking jobs from mainline operations and allowing the mainline to shrink. Previous "RJ" types, the BAe146, F28, and Bac 111 were all flown by mainline. Darned shame regional airline pilots are willing to work for less pay and benefits in order to fly the almighty jet....no...strike that. I cant blame the pilots. Darned shame that ALPA is not able (or willing?) to create an industry wide campaign against the use of RJ's to take mainline flying. Someone must be lining their pockets.

I prefer the 2 by 2 seating of the Canadair over the 1 by 2 offered by the Embraer, but both are good, quick, quiet aircraft.

Unlike Dash8tech, I prefer Embraer's 1-2 seating over Canadair's 2-2. I like to be able to have both an aisle and a window, especially when the flight is full. Also, I like the large passenger windows on the ERJ.
