However, I think this one should stay up since the other title is a little confusing if you are looking for the new Cardinals plane.
Agreed, the other thread is about the disappearance of the America West 2008 Superbowl Champion Arizona Cardinals themejet. The new plane is nice enough to warrant its own thread!
Why is the new US only using A319s for the Themejets?
Only one minor complaint, would it have killed them to put the AZ Cardinal head decal on the engines too?

I agree.
I also think it'd look better on a longer plane. It makes the A319 look stumpy.

Quoting Silentbob (Reply 7): 319s make it to a larger number or markets than other models?
I'm sure about that one, though it would be cool for a theme plane to land in europe. Thats why I like the 757's. It may be easier for the Airbus a/c to be painted though.

Cute looking plane. Well branded! But ONE BIG MISSTAKE they made. It would have been soo much nicer to paint the wings in red. It's a bird! I know their logo is a bird head but they've could taken advantage to use the wings, now it's wingless bird. Pitty, pitty, pitty!!
"Hey US Airways, my wings are red with a bit black. Why did you give me white wings?"

I personaly think it looks terrible the back taill need more color and like OwlEye said "the wings need color" i think the engines should go along with it!
when i lived in arizona i was at the airport and i saw the 757 cardnals plane, much better!
The sky is no longer the limit, but the mere minimum

I give this one a thumbs down. The front of the aircraft looks OK, but the back has too much white paint.
The Philadelphia Eagles' aircraft definitely looks better!

I think that's the exact reason - 319s (AFAIK) are currently only to be used domestically or at least to places that have a clue what football is (or have a clue where Phoenix is).
I think sending a theme plane overseas really cheapens the look of the airline. Now that 757 is available... except I doubt it has ETOPS cert. It can at least go to the Carribbean.

Yes the Philly Eagles one is a beauty! I was expecting something perhaps as nice as that one.
As I said in the other thread, I was hoping for a scheme identical to the Eagles layout, expect with Cardinals logos/colours. I don't get why they'd try to switch it up. Uniformity is kind of a good thing.

Would you please post your new and improved livery for the Cardinals plane? Perhaps it will give us all a more collective opinion on which one is better.

I just think we were all expecting the Eagles plane, only in Cardinals garb.

25 BMIFlyer: I like these theme jets Keep 'em comin' US Lee
26 AviatorTJ: Too bad the Eagles plane doesn't look nearly as cool as this one. Also, as said above and in the previous thread, paint those wings red!
27 UsAirways16bwi: They will probably change it to look much better. They are old schemes and these new planes weren't in mind when designing them. They just have to do
28 Captaink: I think it looks cool. And hey brings a little variety to the table as not many airlines do the themejet thing in the US. THe Eagles jet did look bet
29 CentPIT: Yeah, Yeah! I am still waiting for a Pittsburgh Livery!
30 777law: Nice looking plane, when will the Tampa Bay Buccaneers get a themed plane? Now that would be one great looking livery -- I almost see the pewter and r
31 MIAMIx707: When will there be an Orlando Magic themed plane? I know I know they suck, but hey it could be nice
32 BigJimFX: Ditto! This is fine and dandy but football season is coming to an end. (in about 2 months) I DON'T WANNA WAIT ANOTHER YEAR FOR A PIT JET!!! We've got
33 MCOflyer: CO sends the Peter Max plane to LGW and other cities. Amen to that. US has a big operation at MCO. MCOflyer
34 AviatorTJ: How about some planes for the NHL teams? Carolina Hurricanes ->Pittsburgh Penguins Phoenix Coyotes I'm still holding out for a nice version of the Ohi

40 Hamster: How does this work financially? Also the Legal aspects? Does NFL pay USAir or is it the other way around? I would guess USair needs permission.
41 LTU932: The Philadelphia Eagles logojet looks much better than the new Arizona Cardinals logojet. They could have done better.

46 Bn727: Out with the old, in with the new..This one is cool....
47 AirframeAS: You know (Not at Jmc...) 2008 is in almost a year away. And at the current rate that the Cardinals are going, they are NEVER going to win a Super Bow

56 OwlEye: Captaink, don't be afraid for the weight matter. Airbus and maybe other manufacturers always paint their aircraft wings with a neutral white or grey
57 CentPIT: I think so, the Steelers use US Airways for chartered flights to games! I am sure we won't get a jet though, Pittsburgh is used to the treatment!
58 AirframeAS: Correction: that would be YV, not HP.
59 AviatorTJ: YV decided on the green wings over HP?
61 AirframeAS: I think so, they operate the type. OR...it could be the manufacturer's decision, I think some of UA Express planes have Navy blue wings.
62 MCOflyer: I think so too. Agreed, someone needs repaint them or take lessons. Did menzies do this?? MCOflyer
63 MIAMIx707: Nicely done OwlEye, nice colors. Gaming company? I bet they payed well too! I agree as well, painting a plane in a colorful way doesn't mean it'll be
