Yesterday, while waiting for my bags at DCA, I noticed a number of bags (probably in the range of 50) sitting down at baggage claim between the DL Shuttle Carousel and the one next to it. They all were interline bags who were supposed to be on the DL JFK flight, and whose final destinatation was not DCA, but instead has tags for places like Bangalore, Islamabad, Kuala Lumpur, and a number of other exotic destinations. Anyone from DL know what the story was? Did they get left off the JFK flight?
By the way, not a good experience on DL yesterday (and I'm a big DL fan). 90 minutes late from ATL to DCA, no announcements about why there was a delay, no announcements from the cockpit for the entire flight except for asking the flight attendants to prepare the cabin for departure, and another 30 minutes to get our bags (and the flight only had 80 people on it).

Philadelphia down to Atlanta had heavy fog for much of the morning. DCA did not receive its first arrival until just after noon. Hundreds of flights were cancelled in the region. The flight to JFK may have been cancelled.
