Good news to hear MyTravel are expanding the fleet once again!
Aren't Thomas Cook keen to get rid of their A320s into the future or is that old rumors?
Also with G-OOAF going from FCA that must mean that there is going to be more other members of the FCA fleet turning up at FCA's A321 bases, East Midlands, Bristol and Stansted isn't it? Or are the other FCA A321s coming to the end of there time with First Choice aswell soon?
MyTravel G-GTDK (and then Skyservice C-GTDK) has gone to MyAir as EI-DRG.
G-FHAJ is now with MyAir as EI-DOD.
Make sure they know we're playing the game, but we don't need to play the game because we've already won the game.

Hi,
This is great news for MyTravel! I would imagine the A320 will be based at Liverpool to support the flying programme expansion for Summer 2007. See MyTravel.com for details.

MyTravel Group PLC has returned to profit following its restructuring posting annual results on Thursday 14th December:
In the annual report, the Group renewed their interest in purchasing the mainstream operations of First Choice Holidays and also hinted towards a return to their own cruise operations as well as a possible acquisition in the UK domestic holiday market.
MyTravel Airways will also commence a new route from Manchester to Sarajevo from December 2007.

So MYT have got rid of a 757 and a few A320's and are now getting 1 A320 and 1 A321? Sounds like a reduction in capacity rather than an increase.
On the subject of MYT, does anyone know what route the 763s do from LGW? Seen one on the ground on a remote most days last week and a few days the week before that having previously not seen one at LGW for quite a while, extra s/h capacity, back-up aircraft or long haul ops?

It operates long haul. One B767-300 is based at LGW, one at MAN, and then the lone A330 switches between the two. Like most charter aircraft in the winter, it has a much less stretched schedule than in the summer.
If you were to go out at around 11pm on a Monday night, or around 8pm on a Tuesday night you would also see the MAN based B767-300, operating MAN-LGW-MBA-LGW-MAN.

Not sure, but they have done there best to try and get rid of one A320. G-BXKD is currently up on jacks at MAN due to a hard landing reportedly suffered @ BRS. According to someone on PPRune, KD has suffered one of the hardest landings they have ever recorded, engines are to be removed and the MLG are both to be removed!

Quoting PictureThis (Reply 11): Well a based FCA A321 has apparently been confirmed for East Midlands Airport this summer, so surely they must be keeping some?
With G-OOAF going, they will still have 3 in the fleet. G-OOAE, G-OOAH, and G-OOAV. G-OOAF was the oldest of the current A321 hence why it going back to lessor.

I'll try and have a look at that sometime, I assume its in the Monarch hangar.
G-TCKE is still on lease to Condor, this must be an ongoing lease, as no sign of it coming back anytime soon. G-BXKC leased to USA 3000 for winter. So if KD isn't back soon, it will be just one A320 G-BXKA.

That's quite interesting that is, I wasn't aware of that. Most of Thomas Cook's A320s are anywhere but back home currently. One's with USA 3000, one at Condor, one is off to MYT and the one in maintenance. That only leaves G-BXKA. Probably looking at 3 tops for the summer 07 season then.
I can remember reading a while back now that Thomas Cook were looking into transfering the A320s over to Condor in return for some B757s.

I was going to look into the ages, I remember there being a few years in them. Around 1997/1998/1999 I think they are. I'm not sure if all of them are ex-Leisure. G-OOAH is.
I didn't think the Premium was ending as we was offered it for our holiday this summer.
Thanks for the help.

G-JOEM is scheduled to re-deliver from MYT in April 2007.

Good to see MYT adding new destinations in 'up and coming' markets - especially important as the LoCo's move into the traditional ski destinations

My flatmate was at the FTO meeting last Thursday and it has been confirmed that MyTravel are buying First Choice. First Choice will be absorbed into MyTravel with the specialist programmes keeping as it is.

This deserves its own thread in its own right really. If MyTravel do buy FCA that just sounds unbelievable to me. I thought MyTravel have only just finished getting themselves back on their feet never mind buying another company.

Seen it on jacks today in the Monarch hangar, tried to get a pic of it on my phone, but they were pulling Skyservice 757 C-GOEV (G-CPEV) out of there, so that blocked any view of it. Looks like it'll be a while till its back in service.
