G-day,
just got an e-mail from Boeing, because I am on the World Design Team (nothing special, except that I recieve updates)
here are some of the things it said:

747-8 Site Launch:
To celebrate the 68 orders received to date and the official first order for the 747-8 Intercontinental by Lufthansa we have launched a new site for the 747-8 family. Come learn about the state of the art technology that improves upon the economics of the 747-400, while greatly enhancing fuel efficiency, reducing emissions and noise. See the elegant new interior that takes advancements from the 787 Dreamliner to further enhance the passenger experience. And come back in January for even more interactive media rich content.

See the First Flight of the 737-900:
See the 737-900ER (Extended Range) take to the skies over Washington state on its maiden flight. Painted in the Boeing blue-and-white livery, the 737-900ER (Extended Range) took off on September 5, 2006 at 9:21 a.m. PDT from the Renton Municipal Airport in Renton, Wash.

Dear World Design Team Members:
As you may know, Boeing recently re-launched newairplane.com featuring the 747-8, the 787 Dreamliner and the 737-900ER. As the Dreamliner represents a new era in aviation for the aviation industry and the business traveler, so the website features cutting edge technology that highlights Boeing's commitment to transforming the industry and the air travel experience.

From the fully interactive tour that emulates an entire in-flight experience and the features section includes detailed info and flash animations for many of the 787 Dreamliner's advancements, to the exciting demonstration of innovative manufacturing of the 737-900ER, our goal is to maintain a running demonstration of how Boeing is defining the future of commercial aviation. We plan on a very active series of updates to newairplane.com, with behind-the-scenes looks at the 787 Dreamliner being built, the views and thoughts of key players in the 787 program, and up-to-date coverage of all new Boeing Commercial Aircraft programs.

There also will be more opportunities to interact with WDT members in the future, from polls and questionnaires to special offers, all to thank you for being a World Design Team member.

With this in mind, we will be moving forward with newairplane.com supported in English only. This way we can continue to expand our offering to you, and offer all of you a unique look at the exciting things happening at Boeing.

so there you have it, I haven't gotten a chance to have a good look at the websites yet so I better go explore them as well!
