It appears that "It's Time to Fly" from Dulles to Rome non-stop in a 777. I have always wondered why there was no FCO N/S service from the D.C. area, but finally a need will be met. I wonder if this will be seasonal?

Interesting, as I could have sworn there was at one point in time (pre 9/11). Is this the first time flying this route?

If you do a search, there was a thread with many relpies on this topic a few weeks back (search for Rome rather than FCO).

It's all year round. UA doesn't fly seasonally to Europe.

If I Recall correctly around 1993-1995 UAL flew IAD-MXP-FCO with a 747-200.

Eastern Air lines flt # 701, EWR-MCO Boeing 757
