Star Alliance member Austrian Airlines is tentatively planning to operate non-stop from Vienna to Toronto next summer with their A340 jets. Stay tuned for details as they become available. Also, VARIG is tentatively planning to start up a 767-300 service daily from Rio de Janeiro via JFK to Toronto. - YYZnews

GREAT!!! Another airline lost to YYZ . That's too bad. We had a lot of airline in here in Montreal, but then whe started loosing a few, like JAT and Austrian to YYZ. Well, those days are over. If my calculations are correct, here in Montrea-Dorval, we can expect up to 9 new airlines starting service here (WestJet, RootsAir, LACSA, Cubana, Crystal Airways, Legacy Airlines, TWA, TunisAir, Egyptair) and maybe even more airlines like Alitalia and Lufthansa. Also AC plans on having new routes from Montreal to Atlanta, Milan and Beyrut.
