That's a Lockheed C-141B Starlifter.

Definitely a C-141. Probably based at Charleston AFB, SC

Yup, its a C-141. The only other airlifters that are in the US inventory currently that have a similar design are the C-17 and C-5, both newer and larger.

If you know the "tail number" of the USAF aircraft, you can find out where it's based by using this site. Jeff http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/mwims/tails.htm

I used to be pretty good with my USAF tail flashes... I'm sure that C141 is NOT from Charleston, and I'm relatively sure its not from Travis AFB in N.J. Maybe March AFB in California? For some reason that rings a bell. I'm not sure what AMC has as far as wings in Alaska, so that's kinda a shot in the dark.

ATRpilot is right on. Its definitely not a Charleston bird. Those have a blue and white "Palmetto" flag towards the leading edge of the yellow stripe.

I think this one might be from the training command at Altus, Oklahoma... not 100% sure though.
