IB SJO-PTY-MAD Flight Stranded In PTY!any Info?

A friend of mine is currently stranded since Monday evening in PTY. Apparetly their plane had a technical problem and they haven't been able to get to MAD and doesn't know when she'll be able to go back.
Looks like the are taking NM's example
They could at least charter a flight to PTY to take these passengers to Spain!
Does anyone have any more info about this?

We also had relatives of passengers at our desk about this flight, the should had arrived on the 26th.
According to the history of the booking we where not able to see anything.
Also no comments or remarks in the system or Resiber (system of IB).

Very frustating indeed, very difficult to explain to the passengers that even IB staff does not know where the pax are at this moment.
