Here's a very funny but true piece about how a 300 pound pig flew in the F/C cabin on a US Airways flight from PHL to SEA!! The pig's owner was able to convince US Airways that the pig is a service animal!!! Absurd but true!!! http://dailynews.philly.com/content/daily_news/2000/10/27/local/PORK27.htm

Yes, I know. I heard this on the radio this morning. They said said that the 130kg pig (yes you're right 300lbs) slept during the whole flight from Philadelphia to Seattle. The pig flew First Class. US Airways has said this will never ever happen again. According to CNN.com, the pig was travelling with two women holding a note from a doctor allowing them to travel with such an animal.
How could the airline let that happen? That remains a mistery.
