Quoting Bennett123 (Reply 1): So did the pilot ask for assistance, if so at what stage
My guess would be once it was to late and he was all ready past no return. I am only basing this on the quotes from the FAA and MIA airport officials. So we will see when the official report is released. As of now it looked like the pilot screwed the pooch and made a little mistake. At least there was no damage or injuries, thats all that matters.

Just maybe this is perhaps an indication that the people over in the UK need to oust Mr Blair and elect a "Real" Labour PM; one who will do the right thing and nationalize BA! That should fix their problems!
