Good evening!

Does anybody have access to the United Express system?

I flew on the following flight and I'd be most thankful if anybody could look up the tail number of the plane which I missed to write down for my log:

UA 5234 from IAD to HPN on December 26
Operated by Colgan Air
Saab 340
Sched. Dep. 9:30 PM

Thank you very much in advance!

UA didn't even bother to put the Registration of the plane in Amadeus' FLIFO.

Any chance they might have added the data now?
Also, is there any way for me to look this up myself or would I have to be an employee?

I just saw this thread. I tried to go back in Unimatic (United's Operations OS) and pull it up, but it was more than 10 days ago so I can't. You're probably going to have to find someone at Colgan to look it up for you.

I just phoned Colgan Air dispatch and they told me it was tail number 361, and I did some major research on the internet about what N number this could be, found nothing but a Mesaba Saab340, but mine was a Saab 340 in full Colgan Air Livery, operating for United.

Anybody, any clue?

N361PX, a saab 340B was operated by Mesaba for several years on lease from Pinnacle. Mesaba leased from Pinnacle I believe 13 B's when Pinnacle transitioned into an all jet fleet. They were in sorry shape and each plane spent a long time in mx before going onto the line. We called them, B minuses as opposed to the factory new B+ saabs Mesaba took delivery of in the late 90s early 2000s. You could tell the B- saabs apart from the As and B+ models not only from their N numbers but they had blue leather seats and an aft lav.

When Mesaba entered bankruptcy, these 13 planes, in addition to the remaining A models and all 35 avros were progressively removed from the fleet. The B- saabs were returned to Pinnacle who parked them in Millington, TN until new leasees could be found. I believe Colgan gobbled most of them up and didn't re-register them.

Colgan's planes came from two sources. The SF340's with Dowty props came from Business Express, the SF340's with Ham-Std props came from Chicago Express through American Eagle.

That might be true, but they also must have acquired at least one from Pinnacle if 361PX is flying around for Colgan.
