A nice little addition to the end of year order book, glad to see that this one will count with the 2006 totals.
The Breakdown:
10x 777-300ER
5x 747-8F
5x 777F
5x 737NG - specific models not listed, but I believe the original MOU indicated the 737-900ER and 1 737-700
Thanks LTU, this is the first time that I have seen a Boeing News release not include the Photo release if available. Thanks for checking Boeing Media.

Quoting Jimyvr (Reply 10): well, it's freighters, they shunned the -8I.
Maybe but then they also shunned the A380. They did not order the freighter nr do they order more passenger A380 they ordered 10 GE powered 77W (They have P&W powered 777 fleet)
Anyhow the 747-8i has outsold the A380 ths year 20LH versus 17for QF & SQ
We won't mention the freighters which is 47 748 versus minus 10 A380F(Fedex)
Korean Air was seriously looking at 747-8I, but ATWOnline or FI or both reported that because they can't come into agreement with Boeing regarding how the 747-8I should be like (longer ranger or more seats), they shunned and move to 777-300ER.
Air New Zealand is the other carrier to follow the same path.

By the way, according to The Seattle Times:
"Boeing spokesman Randy Harrison said, that with two days to go before year-end, the 2006 sales total stands at 1,014 net jet orders, compared to 1,002 net orders last year.
Boeing sealed 110 of those orders in the last nine days, including a large order finalized Friday from Korean Air that pushed the total over the top."
I wonder who and what...

Quoting AirRyan (Reply 20): Didn't FedEx cancel their A380 order or was that just UPS?
Surprisingly, FedEx cancelled and UPS hasn't yet cancelled. Most observers thought it would be the other way around. Of the four firms that ordered WhaleJet freighters, UPS is the only one with orders still on the books. They are known to be considering cancellation, a possibility which Airbus have conceded. Airbus said they would defer the program if UPS were to cancel. I don't expect to see a UPS cancellation until they figure out what they want instead and negotiate the new deal. That could take a while. The likely candidates are the B777F (the FedEx choice) and the B747-8F (presently very popular).

Great boost for the already succesful 773ER program for replacing the 744's. Seems that almost all major Asian Airlines have an order for 773ER's in their fleet plans.
