It's on CNN right now. Sounds like a lot of confusion and panic. People trying to get out of terminal 4. Reuters says a bomb threat was phoned in in advance.

Quoting SA006 (Reply 5): The anchor was suggesting it may be in connection with Saddam's hanging?
Doubt it. Such a terrorist attack needs a substantional time of preparation, and as they didnt know when exactly Saddam would be executed that assumption is pretty ridicolous, furthermore, why would they bomb Spain? It wern't the Spanish who sent Saddam to death.
now wait a minute, I thought Zapatero and ETA had a cease fire agreement at the moment. What happened?
Good news is that apparently there are just a few injured and no casualties.

I think ETA didn't want any injuries if it is actually them who carried the attack. It seems that the warning was to keep the people safe and avoid casualties!

Possibly, but in any case, they are proving that any type of agreement with the govt' is impossible, and that they still have the capacity to do what they want. This could easily have been a massacre

Quoting Stil (Reply 20): explosion was controlled by police, as they had a phone warning describing the car with the bomb
Yes. It had been said by the press earlier. It was a dark-red Renault Traffic van.
Anyway, it seems that the damage to the parking building structure is heavy as the roof has collapsed, and the Terminal building has also sustained damage due to it's huge glass surface.

Seems that the Police has arrived little late. Two police officers has injured without any fear about their lives and another were evacuated to the La Paz Hospital.
An anonymous call has received this morning in the DYA (a Basque association to help in the road) advertising about a Renault Traffic parked in the T4 parking with a great explosive and with the advertisement to not try anything (about to disconnect it).
When ETA made its cruel attempts not many years ago, always called to DYA announcing its plans.
Hoping the injured and their families will finish 2006 without to cry for anyone.
