If you have seen the Passenger 57 Hijacking movie, is that plane an L-1011 or DC-10?

It's an L-1011.

A few problems with that movie that I can remember:
1) You can't stand up in the belly of an L-1011, much less fight somebody down there.
2) The electronics bay in the nose belly is about the size of a closet, not a whole room.
3) You can't get from the tail belly to the nose belly without swimming through a few thousand gallons of fuel.
4) Only a mechanic would know how to hotwire the fuel dump valve, and it would tke more than just a minute to dump an entire load of gas.

If I remember correctly, the F/As and pilots would regularly take an elevator near the tail section of the L-1011 and get food, steaks, guns, and everything else in that movie. Is there really an elevator like that on the L-10?

Yes, there is an elevator in the L-1011. The elevator takes you to the lower galley. To see a seat chart of an L-1011, go to http://www.ata.com
American Trans Air's L-1011 seat chart includes the elevator.

One other mistake I noticed was when they were starting to refuel it, they put an "over-wing" fuel hose up to the "single-point" or "underwing" refueling connection. For those of you not familiar with what that means, most of the jets built today have a single-point refueling connection that is designed to enable the aircraft to be fueled faster with bigger fuel loads and this connection is located underneath the wing, however, every type of airplane has an "over-wing" fuel cap somewhere on the TOP of the wing to be used in the event something goes wrong with the "single-point" fuel system. And that concludes today's lesson on aviation fuel systems. Class Dismissed!! :-)
