Have all the AF 744's been upgraded with the new economy interiors? I've seen pics in the database that show some pretty old looking cabins with minimal IFE, just the TV's down the aisles similar to LH 744's, and older looking seats. I may be getting on one of these in March from CDG to JFK...just curious as what to expect...but in all honesty, the plane could have bleachers for seats and I'd still love it. Nothing beats a 747. in my opinion.

The 2 remaining unreconfigured B744s, F-GISA and F-GISB, are the only frames still operating in a 3-class configuration, and are plying the CDG YUL and CDG DEL routes this winter, so you should not normally get these frames on the CDG JFK route. That said, of the remaining 14 aircraft, only 3 have PTV's in economy, unless you can get a hold of one of the much covetted seats on the upperdeck, which still feature PTVs where previously the J-class was located. These seats are normally reserved for Flying Blue elites but can also be assigned at the airport on the day of departure.

I found it quite easy to get while doing an e-check-in.

Quoting AlitaliaMD11 (Reply 3): I flew on F-GITH back in November on AF10 from CDG to JFK on the Upper Deck however the lower deck had the updated Tempo with PTVs
The three last delivered frames (F-GITH, F-GITI and F-GITJ) are the only ones which feature PTVs throughout economy.

I am very familiar with the Air France fleet but not so much with the 747-400 fleet so when I stepped in F-GITH I was expecting there not to be the updated Tempo nor PTVs in the lower deck Tempo class but to my surprise there where.
I saw F-GITH flying AF10 a couple of times over the summer.
However the aircraft did seem alot newer then F-GITB which I saw taxiing for HAV.
Like HB-IWC mentioned the best seats on the aircraft are on the Upper Deck and can be reserved online 24 hours before the flight if there are still some available.
