CNN now reporting that the SQ 744 took off at 11:18 local time, witnesses said that it could have been windshear as it fell back down to the runway, slammed into a China Airlines jet on the ground, it then exploded on the runway. Footage should be available at CNN soon. They believe that the windshear could have been related to the typhoon that is just off the coast... wind and rain fall was significant at the airport. More later.

The fire that caught SIA B744 died down. 159 Passengers and 20 crews on board SQ 006 were sent to the near by hospital.
The jet take-offs during the typhoon "XiangSang" (means elephant in Thai) approcahing Taiwan, packing wind gusts up to 160kph. flights from Kaohsiung all suspended. So this accident may be due to the wind factor and made the 744 out of control and hit one of the China Airlines jet.
