With the recent crash of Adam Air B737-400 in Indonesia, what do you think will happen to this airline and the pending A320 oder for 25 frames?

Well I think that depends on whether they go out of business or get grounded. I'm not sure of Indonesian regulations (if any) and whether or not the airline made any mistakes to get grounded.

Probably too early to tell.

I hope this airline will go out of business. It's more important to get rid of this airline than Airbus getting these orders..

ADAM AIR will never go under... for a while at least. The owners are linked VERY strongly politcally and they are one of the most powerful people in the country.

Speaker of Paliarment comes to mind... Even the President has to be careful...

Welcome to my starry one world alliance, a team in the sky!

Not 100% sure about this but a firm contract was never signed between Adam Air and Airbus. Adam Air is the one who makes the new and says the wants to order the A320.

A quick check to Airbus webistes reveals no order for Adam Air in the order book but there was a press release on Airbus website back in February of 2006.

So is the order really confirms?? God know..!!

As stated above, this order was announced by Adam Air, but never confirmed by Airbus, so we'll have to presume that it was a case of mere wishful thinking on behalf of the airline.

As a sidenote, about a year and a half ago, this same airline announced in the local media that Qantas of Australia was about to take a 40% stake in Adam. Speculations were immediately riding high here on airliners.net about QF's imminent disposal of its B734 fleet to Adam, but as with so many announcements by Indonesian airline companies at large, nothing ever came of it. I very much doubt that QF ever even considered such a much.
