With record orders coming in, both Airbus and Boeing have backlogs worth tens of billions of dollars.

I was wondering if anyone could help me out, and identify the number and aircraft type in these backlogs?

I appreciate any help I can get!

Thank you very much!

Support Airliners.net - become a First Class Member!

You can get very detailed information from both manufacturers web sites.

On Boeing's look for the "unfilled orders" report. On Airbus's their Order & Delivery spreadsheet will give you all the details.

At th end of 2005 Airbus had a backlog of 2177 units valued at about 200 nillion dollars whilst boeing had a backlog of 1809 units valued at 124 billion.

As you can see the Airbus Av unit backlog value is much higher than Boeings for some reasons we could only speculate about.

PS these are American billions

Boeing's web site has 2278 unfilled orders, not 1809. Where did you come u p with the 124 billion number?

When did they reach that backlog? Ruscoe wrote 1809 for the end of 2005...

2278 is the current number on thier web site. It is current as of Nov. '06. Sorry I did not see the 2005 on Ruscoe's post. I assumed it was 2006.
