A7 definitely needs more aircrafts, currently they are using (chartering) an Iberworld A332, with registration EC-IDB, for their scheduled flights to Bogotá and Lima.
Let's see if they get rid of the B742 with the arrival of the new planes.

The one at Opa Locka is EC-IPN, they have currently two: EC-JDH and EC-IZL. By the way it's confirmed that these remaining two B742 will be phased out with the arrival of the new planes.
In Buenos Aires there's already an Airbus A310 with the registration EC-GMU painted with the new livery (after a D-Check). This aircraft will go back to the fleet during this month.

What happened to the A340-200, ex AF, ex Air Europa, Conviasa painted and not delivered, then Air Comet painted, but was it actually operated?
Good that Air Comet grows. I hope that they can take advantage of the important Spain-latin america market, and make a good operation with the new aircraft.

Damnit! I live just under the approach path to Runway 09L at OPF and I always manage to miss the heavies when they come in.
Concerning the new Air Comet livery, I didn't like it at first, but looking at it now, it's a interesting combination of blue and green, and at the very least it's not another Eurowhite airliner!

That's a good question! The lease of the Iberworld A332 would end at the end of April, starting in May most of the flights to LIM and BOG should be done with the A342. The A343 would substitute the old B742.

It's a really nice and elegant livery, rather than the ever more common white overall with drops of colours here and there. We'll see if it'll helps the straight cheat line to become "trendy" enough for 2007 as OwlEye hopes.

Finally something new. I was getting tired of airlines applying the same livery style ( LAN,Aeromexico,Pluna,Thai,Shanzhen,UPS,etc), good for Air Comet to try something different.

Quoting OwlEye (Reply 10): the come back of the 'straight' cheat line
I agree. The clean look on any airline is starting to become the new trend. I say good for everyone. Flashy isn't getting the job done anymore, marketing wise. One question that has always been on my mind.. who deemed the term "cheat line"? I mean, I know what it is.. but really.. how did it become called that?

....love the new look! My only concern is how well the dark fuselage will hold up over time.... a look at North American operators UNITED or US Airways old colours, is testament to how dark colours work in the airline environment:

Definately and improvement. Makes it look like a more serious airline.
Only surpise is the colour. Dark blue for the top of the fuselage in Spain.. Madrid gets very hot in summer, like 45 degrees c. Imagine the temperture of the dark blue paint in summer.
Didn't US Airways change the colour scheme after the merger with HP partially because the original dark blue US livery attracted to much heat in PHX and LAS?

Especially in the early days of the jet age the race for bigger and bigger aircraft took flight. To get aircraft looking bigger or longer the window line or fuselage line was fashion, a dark coloured line on a white fuselage makes a plane look longer than it actually is, therefore: 'cheat'line.
The best common cheat line livery ever to me is the PanAm Boeing 707:

I can understand that although I don't find it as conservative as both UA & US (pre HP) former colors. But I think the green used is providing a touch of exoticism.

Actually, I believe that was the primary reason.
As for the Air Comet livery, I don't know, that chartreuse really clashes with the dark blue to me.

I do like their new livery. Cartainly better than the old one. I do have one question: Will the A340 pilots be cross trained on the A320 ad fly their routes, and vice versa?

Aloha,
Air Plus Comet is in the process of becoming Air Comet with new colors.
As a side note, the new Air Comet logo already appears in my browser address bar.
Cheers.
