I don't see anything to PVD in the schedules - do you have any more information.

BTW, for the 2 other people who care, Commutair's DH8 CLE flights start in march to MDT and HPN...

Nope. Nothing seems to have been loaded yet, but that's straight info from our computer system.

Will Chautauqua and ExpressJet both operate on individual routes or will they "specialize" in their own spokes? (There's probably a better way to ask that question.)

They're operating a mix of CRJ's and ERJ's to my understanding...What are the colors going to be? Continental Chautaqua or Continental Connection?

It looks like they will mix together. From IAH, MSP and OKC now have both Expressjet and Chautauqua. Would guess CLE will be the same.

Chautauqua Airlines dba as Continental Express, and I imagine they'll be in the familiar CO white fusilage, gray bottom and bule tail with a gold, blue and white globe.

Thought that would be the case as of Monday, but watched N638BR come in and still no titles or globe...N656BR operated the first flights (SDF-IAH-OKC) while N638BR handled the other duties (MSP-IAH-SDF)...It does have operated by Chautauqua Airlines in light grey behind and below the gold stripe/L1 door.

The 2 CHQ CRJ's I saw today at IAH did not have the gold tail and looked like they should have been going to maintenance rather than revenue flights.........what a pitty, you'd think they would have gotten their entire act together before starting their dba Continental Express, yet another example of the lack of seamless transition to this new operation for CO passengers.

First 4 airplanes will not have the globe on the tail in order to get IOE done on intitial captain group flying for USAirways, therefore blue tail colors.

Sorry you're still so bitter. RAH must be doing plenty of things wrong seeing as how, as a company, they have 75ish new airplanes coming their way.

Apology no required but thanks!

Not bitter at all, just think they should be painted since they've had quite a few months knowing their mission on 1/8/07!

The reason they weren't painted, as stated above, was so they could be operated in the USAirways system up until now to get the crews signed off, etc.

If they weren't sure of their mission - they wouldn't have shown up :-P

I see the reason for not painting the first 4, however find it difficult to believe that a first class outfit as CHQ could not have worked around these issues by getting IOE accomplished earlier which would have allowed for the painting....but in the grand scheme, it is what it is!

The mission I hoped would be a seamless transition to these CRJ's, meaning crews and planes all ready, shinned up and starting a first class CRJ operation, but then I have high expectations at times.

Hopefully CLE will be the first class operation.

Expressjet has no control over their own COEX operation. The Expressjet quality you speak of is directly related to Continental itself.

I'd have to disagree with that assessment, as far as front-line employees. The overwhelming majority of pilots and f/a's I know from XJT are just as professional and as customer service-oriented as their CO counterparts, and they're a key reason why the service is so seamless between the two.

Off topic sorta,

Whens Commutair starting the Dash to PIT? (I was told it by one of the captains I commuted with that it would be one of the first cities to get the Dash).

Anywho watched a Chautauqua CRJ land today, yea in just plain colors without the Globe or titles.

And from what ive heard, They are going to be PDC capable soon. That'll be great.

Falcon84 - do have any specifics on the CLE-PVD schedule?? I'm just wondering which of our 4 weekday CLE flights will switch over???

25 Falcon84 : No clue. The Chautauqua flights aren't in the computer yet. Everything still shows "ExpressJet dba as Continental Express". They haven't been loaded
26 FutureFO : We provide the same quality service on our flights as XJT and CO do on theirs. I worked the 2nd SDF-IAH on Mon and it was great. I am on a CO 4 day ri
27 IAHFLYR : How many???? Is that total flights, in and out? Glad to hear the pax like the service, I'll hold my breath till I have to fly on a CRJ though, just d
28 FutureFO : That is departures out of IAH. Not returns.
29 Post contains images Iahflyr : You mean you don't return??? 150 departures from IAH this Feb, as in 3 weeks???? MMMM haven't heard that before and should be most interesting. So Ex
30 BatonOps : Interesting to see MDT get the Dash. It will be nice to see one in CO colors.
31 FutureFO : The 150 flights a day is what our managment team is speaking of and also in our market planning part of our intranet, we are picking up quite a bit of
32 Boeing727 : First Globe aircraft (#5) will be flown from Greenville, MS to Louisville, KY within the next couple of days... Boeing727
33 Drewwright : Chautauqua's 3255 IAH-SDF cancelled last night for "no crew," according to SONIC. Hmmm...
34 IAHFLYR : Great......so the "no crew" is that due to lack of crew members or a crew that was delayed someplace else????
35 Drewwright : The plane was there, but no crew to fly it. I'm guessing lack of crew members since they are reportedly still doing IOEs for the CRJ.
36 Post contains images IAHFLYR : Sure sounds like a great start to me.... Can't wait to see the 150 departures a day in Feb 07 for CHQ out of IAH that someone posted on some thread, m
37 Luv2fly : Well I have to agree not a good start by any spin you put on it.
38 OptionsCLE : My god the way some of you guys are bashing CHQ is just childish. You are some of the very same folks that get riled up when others pick on Continenta
39 N766UA : Chautauqua is a fantastic airline. They've been flying most of our CVG runs for almost a year now and I couldn't be happier with them. I've never see
40 Post contains images IAHFLYR : IAT-ICT.....the operation began when everything was in place with crews and airplane. How long had CHQ management known of the start date on 1/8/07?
41 Post contains images ATCT : Awesome paint facility in Greenville. Got to look over a Virgin America A320 there up close. Awesome job from those guys. Almost reminds me of Region
42 Falcon84 : I would think Chelsea would service them. Can't think of any reason why they wouldn't.
43 FutureFO : Chelsea is catering us in IAH and I am sure it will be the same in CLE.
44 Post contains links and images LGA777 : Here is a just uploaded photo of N656BR sporting the hybrid CO scheme missing titles and the CO globe tail treatment for now, during the IOE ops for U
45 Bqnco : this might be out of the question or something for yall but I was away for some time and havent really understood this whole Chautauqua thing with COe
46 LGA777 : My understanding is ExpressJet will still be the largest commuter carrier operating for and with CO. CO is just reducing the amount of flying ExpressJ
47 Bqnco : It does thankx LGA! Awsome Airport by the way! Ehehhe!! Have a good One!! Sunny BQN!
