Just curious...has United painted any of its domestic/Hawaii 2-class 777s? I'm going to KOA at the end of the month and would love to get a picture of a new-paint T7 there.

Cheers! Jeff

I don't believe that UA flies the 777s to KOA. 752s and 763s only I believe.

It's been a while now since UA introduced the new livery. Two years already? Three? When is the entire fleet expected to have been repainted?

It could be another 5 years before all metals are repainted. Since they are only repainted to new livery after D-check.

I haven't seen any domestic UA 777s in new colors yet. Only recently have we at HNL gotten the new livery international UA 777s on a regular basis. UA has 3 flights to Japan from HNL and usually only 1 at most is in the new livery. However, we do once in awhile we do get the old livery, new livery, and Star Alliance livery 777s all at one time at HNL.

If you are flying out of SFO you might get lucky. I took that flight in May and had an equipment change to a 3-class 777 with the new colors. Other members of my family came in 3 and 4 days later respectively, and UA was still running the 777 on the route.
