When Did DL Change There Same Day Change?

When did Delta impose a 3 hour before the flight change on their same day confirmed change policy? I hadn't noticed this change, and to be honest it sucks.

You mean you have to change your flight 3 hrs prior to your original flight?

If that's the case it does suck.

Always been this, at least as long as I can remember. Believe it came about when they abolished Same-Day Standby for non-Plats/Golds.

Personally, I don't mind it. Call up SMS 3 hours before if the flight is pretty full; if not, just show up at the airport and have them do it. Relatively painless procedure - only problem is if you want to do a SDC on a later flight, and it ends up going Sold Out - then you're in trouble.

If you want to change your flight - if it 3hrs or more then it incurs a $50.00 charge. If it is under 3hrs til your scheduled flight then there is no charge.
