Looks like it was on the flightpath towards DAL and then started a spin (practically, dont take that serious) around SPS, then diverted to AUS.
Any idea what the situation was?

Btw it seems the scheduled flights this bird makes later havent happened yet, so something must be going on.

If you'll take a look before the pictures update and go away, you'll notice all that green stuff. It was thunderstorms and windshear at the airport, both associated with the cold front that just came through... Flights were diverting at both DFW and DAL..

Should be re-launching AUS-DAL any time now..

Looks like he held out on the outer edge of the storm and when he hit his bingo fuel he diverted to AUS.

okay, thanks OPNL  Smile Just was curious as they flew through a straight line of thunderstorms all the way to AUS it seems. Looks Like ATC at DFW/DAL had a blast.

Down the back (west) side of the line...

1746 was airborne at 8:16, ETA DAL 8:53...

This is the great flight path the AA flight from SDF to DFW is on right now. Looks like they just held and flew strange airways to get to DFW to save time until the storms passed.

That looks like the path one takes when they know they have to go to work.... but really want to take their time getting there....

The link showed a mundane SLC - LAS flight when I clicked on it (6:00 PM CST 1/13).

But, here's an updated link: http://flightaware.com/live/flight/S...6/history/20070112/2351Z/KAMA/KDAL

Interesting flgiht, though. Forgive me, I'm still trying to figure out how to use FlightAware's site...  Smile
