Dear A.netters:

I am trying to book on Delta using some FF miles from MCO to LAS in April. I noticed they still have the flight from MCO to LAS operating, but is the 757 an exsong plane with the IFE. I noticed on the website that some of the itineraries showed a 757 from ATL to SLC with a (tv) icon next to it. Are only flight with this icon operating the new IFE? Many Thanks

I tried to do a search but I could not find any flights with a [tv] icon. Where is located and what flight/dates have it?

Looks like the once daily direct MCO-LAS and return is on a regular 757 with the old IFE. Key to finding the 757s with new IFE is the 26 First Class seats on board instead of 24 F for the 757s with old IFE. Have a good trip.

I've taken that flight quite a few times, first on Delta, than Song. Haven't been out to Vegas in about a year so I haven't been on it since Song faded away. Anyway, every time I was on a 752. I was curious and found that currently the nonstop flight is on a 738. I checked a few random dates on Delta.com and it appears that the 738 will operate until the week you are planning your trip. This is one of the slow seasons in Vegas so maybe the flight hasn't been full. Every time I've flown that route the plane was packed. I also noticed it is earlier than before. It used to leave around 9 pm, arrive about 11. Now it scheduled around 7, arriving at 9. I'm planning to go out there in April also. I think I'll schedule my trip so I can ride the 757. I love those planes.

Do the 757's with the new IFE (exsong) have a full 4 abreast row 6? Is that where the two additional seats come from?

Do any of the 738's have the IFE? Is there anyway of knowing which ones do (if any do)?

Row 6 is a complete row on the reconfigured 757s - only planes that have a partial 6th row are the 757s that are already ETOPS-rated (N7xxAT are the ships). The extra two seats came from a closet...can't remember if it's Row 1 or Row 7 that is only 2 seats.

Row 6 has always been a F seat but the old 757 ones only have a two seats, but [from what I understand], the new reconfigured 757 have a complete row 6 with 4 seats.

Will eventually all DL 757 have the complete sixth row and IFE.

I believe the forward closet was removed to allow a port side Row 1 with 2 seats. Rows 2-7 are full 4 abreast. Small coat closet now under IFE controls behind Row 7.

No 738's with the new system I have heard of yet. 48 757s converted so far, 52 more transcon aircraft (738,757,763) to be converted in the near future.

Didn't Song fly a fleet of 46 or 48 a/c? DL has sure gotton on the horse to get those 752's reconfigured in a hurry!
