You may find that you are so fascinated with the whole process that your fears will ease. Knowing full well that airline travel is by far the safest means, I am still more comfortable flying myself than I am riding in the back of an aluminum tube.
And the 421 is a fine airplane- you'll have a blast.

Indeed. I remember staying at Bally's in Vegas and for some reason looking out that floor - ceiling window next to the elevators (one the 3rd to highest floor) scared the living crap out of me :-/. Yet looking out the window of a plane does no harm to me
