Nice, although I think the cockatoo is kind of corny. Personally, they should keep the new body of the aircraft, but add the shooting stars logo that they currently have.

Actually, the new livery was created for the express reason of eliminating the "shooting stars" logo. Surely you know why. Those white, blue, and yellow shooting stars are the logo of Ansett Australia, of which Impulse used to be a feeder. Now, its up to Impulse to create their own image, at which I think they have done a mediocre job.

Hey don't knock the cocky! I have one as a pet. They are a very large Australian native parrot. Very loud and noisey and fly around in flocks destroying crops.... lol

I like the new image, even if it is a little corny, it's original and will make them stand out in the crowd.

VQ will rue the day if they ever fly to PER with these 717s in this livery.

I can see it now, as they fly over the wheatbelt.... cockies will come from far and wide, armed with air rifles, taking potshots at this monstrosity.

What the hell? This is just another case of an airliner livery revert!

The old new (summer 2000) livery was one of the best in the skies -- classy and elegant! I especially liked the typeface.

What the hell is that big bird on the thing with the comic book font? It looks like a big, blue turd.

Impulse hath turned into the DL of Oz.

The "Shooting stars" are of course the Southern Cross constelation which ansett uses but does not own. The Stars also apear on the Australian, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea Flags. The last two liveries of Ansett also featured versions of the same stars.
If this is really the new Impulse livery I think it's not bad at all and certainly different to anything else around here.
I see nothing wrong with a picture of a bird in ths case a sulpher crested cockatoo, painted on a machine that flies.
I have never seen a big blue turd and I hope I never do!

I always thought the old Impulse colors looked too much like those of Ansett's, so that explains why they once a feeder.
