The seats were Brown leather with lttle geometric shapes in the middle in brown, orange, and red, unless they came from Peoplexpress, New York Air or Frontier. I never flew Peoplexpress or New York Air, but I have flown Frontier although not on a 737. For your info. Frontier Horizon 727-100's had blue seats with different colored horizontal stripes in the middle in blue, green, and red and there was a white headrest cover with the Frontier logo in red. The Convair 580's I believe had orange and red seats.

In the spring of 1992 I flew an-ex Frontier series -200 and it still had the Frontier fabrics -- a streaked red and orange retro-look design. This aircraft had enclosed overhead bins but they were just doors put on the old Boeing-style racks, so it still had those big pods with the airvents/lights, etc. Cool.
