I have heard this also,I can find out for you soon.A friend of mine is Cpt on the F-100 for 5T.I believe they want to free up some of the 732's as they plan to operate YMM-YHZ and YMM-YYT as charters more this summer as part of the CNRL contract.

CP744....
I was out at YYC on Sunday. I noted over by the maintainence hangars a Canadian North Dash 8, one of their Fokker 100's, and a former US Airways Fokker 100. Could that be one of the aircraft involved?
Cessna 172; King Air 100; Twin Otter; SAAB 340; Dash 7; Dash 8-100,-200,-300,-400; CRJ-200,700,900; ERJ-170; F-28; DC 9-

Quoting CP744 (Reply 3): Perhaps... However I think I have seen that F100 in YYC for a few years..... I could be wrong.
This frame c/n 11398 is owned by Aravco since July 2005 and therefor not a likely candidate. http://www.aravco.com/
Think it is converted to VIP.
Due to the different layout an ex US-Air frame is not likely anyway.
Although I have not heard a word yet I would not be surprised with Canadian North's expansion plans.
Guess any addition will come from TAM.
The truth lives in one’s mind, it doesn’t really exist

Currently the aircraft that have done the charters to the east usually stop for fuel enroute. This is why 5T was looking at the 733 for the slightly better range, although I am not sure if they are still pursuing this.

There are a couple of Aravco/Platinum Air stored at NWI and they are for sale. I was told that there was some activity noted around them. So who knows they might end up in Canada.
The only Aravco/Platinum Air Fokker 100 still stored at YYC is 11283/N855US
in exUS c/s but that one is in a hrrible condition:
