On this date back in 1976 the Concorde began her commercial service. Too bad she is still not with us. This thread is dedicate to the Concorde. Post pictures, videos, or anything that has to do with the Concorde here.

F-BTSC...Only Concorde to ever visit FLL, and we all know her fate...  crying

But on a lighter note, there's only one time I ever actually saw Concorde in action...I was but maybe 6 or 7 years old, and it was on a wide downwind approach from the north into MIA. From my vantage point, it flew almost directly overhead. I'll never forget it.

"About the only way to look at it, just a pity you are not POTUS KFLLCFII, seems as if we would all be better off."

One year ago, ie the 30th anniversary, I had flown from Exeter into Filton to see G-BOAF. Awesome machines. As soon as I get home to the UK, I will be going to see as many Concordes as possible.

I remember when Concorde was a commercial newbie she used to come to JNB for hot and high testing. My high school was about 5 miles as the crow flies from the airport and she used to come roaring over the school at regular intervals... the good old days of smoke and noise!

After Monday and Tuesday even the calendar says WTF...

Wasn't the first commercial service between Heathrow and Bahrain?

Quoting QatarA340 (Reply 6):

Wasn't the first commercial service between Heathrow and Bahrain?

For British Airways, yes, that is correct. For Air France, a simultaneous flight from Paris to Rio De Janeiro via Dakar made the first commercial service.
