Hey everyone!
Cimber Air (QI) just announced that from March 25th, 2007, they will start operating a once-daily 50-seat CRJ flight CPH-NCL, with convenient connections in CPH.
The route has been tried before, first by easyJet, then by SK (op. by QI), and now they try themselfes. FlyBe talked about starting NCL-CPH with a Q400 a few months ago; donøt know what happened with that.
NCL will be the 11th UK destination from CPH; no other airport in Scandinavia or Germany has as many flights to the UK as CPH: LHR, LGW, LCY, STN, MAN, BHX, LBA, GLA, EDI, NCL, ABZ.

That is great news! I hope this one lasts. WF seem to be doing well on the Oslo run, so hopefully this should be a lasting route. Seems that the LCCs have a bit trouble filling large planes in these routed out of NCL. Anyone know how LS are doing on the Newcastle - Bergen route?

WF are not operating Oslo (OSL)-Newcastle (NCL).
They are only doing Bergen (BGO)-Newcastle (NCL) and Stavanger (SVG)-Newcastle (NCL). Ryanair is however doing a daily Oslo (TRF) - Newcastle (NCL) at the moment, but I think it will be discontinued in March. Norwegian starts Oslo (OSL) - Edinburgh (EDI) in April though.
I think Jet2.com are doing allright on their NCL-BGO-NCL, even heard rumours that they were interested in NCL-OSL-NCL.

Quoting Humberside (Reply 6): I know Cimber Air wont codeshare with SAS but will they interline with them at CPH in order to facilitate the connections talked about?
According to the news, they will interline with SK on the route. I think they'll code-share, too (why not?)
Quoting ChristofferDK (Reply 7): Any other routes (to/from CPH) who might be interesting for FlyBe?
Can't think of any right now.. but I reckon what's left in the UK would be too small for anything else than a Q400, and AFAIK it's not the optimal plane for two-hour flights economically speaking
