HELP!!!! Airtran Airways is in danger of leaving Gulfport-Biloxi Because Grand Casino is Backing out of the agreement Airtran is the only airline that I will fly to Houston, and Dallas, and Orlando. If Airtran leaves, People will want to drive to NEW ORLEANS which I must say is a great airport, but Airtran is saving GPT's life... The Task Force is doing everything possible to keep Airtran in service but it will take Alot of Effort, What are your opinions. The New 717 is the Pride of GPT

The market dictates where airlines should go and what they should do there once they go. If the market doesn't support flights to IAH, DFW, MCO, FLL, ATL etc... than Gulfport shouldn't get the service, whether its Airtran, Northwest, or Pakistan International.
Grand Casino is now a property of Park Place Entertainment, a tremendous Las Vegas-based gaming conglomerate, so decisions are no longer made on a local level.
