Midwest At Midway?

I was driving north on Cicero Avenue about a mile south of Midway Airport when I saw a Midwest Airlines 717 coming in for a landing.

I checked into the Hilton Garden Inn at Midway and can presently see it over on the far side of the airport from my 4th story room.

Anyone know why it is here at Midway? Emergency, fuel, etc.?

I just saw it take off from Midway at 5:49pm! Anyone from MDW know a reason for the stop - maybe 45 minutes at the most.

Probably a charter. We get them there at MDW sometimes

The only 712s FlightAware shows are FL's. Could you have mistaken? How accurate is FlightAware?

After all, there is a mysterious 767 at MDW every few months.

There was no mistaking. It was definitely a YX 717!! I then saw it take off just a few minutes ago as well. I was only 1/2 mile from the White Castle when I saw it land, it was a YX 717.

I am guessing a charter. MD81 in from BNA and then continued on to MKE. It just so happens that the Nashville Predetors play the Chicago Blackhawks tomorrow as well.

Are you sure it wasn't an MD-80? It would make sense, as YX's premium charter aircraft is an MD80.

It is a charter for the Nashville Predators who use YX for travel.
