Does Ansett provide a service to JFK, or are the opening a route within the next few months? I dont think they do but I am hearing rumors.

I doubt that they would start to NYC straight away when they don't even fly to LAX yet. The closest they fly to the USA is Fiji!!

However, they do codeshare with Air NZ to LAX and UA to LAX and various US points of which JFK is one.

In an interview on Business Sunday, the NZ Chairman Sir Selwyn Cushing said that AN will begin US services 1Q next year - but I feel, don't hold your breath yet. Still a lot of stuff to work out with AN and NZ and they'll have to workout the balance between AN/NZ/UA on the OZ-US route.

It would be very nice for them to do so.
