Quoting BA787 (Reply 5): I really liked the Varig livery before, now both VARIGLOG and VARIG look astonishing
I agree with you all the way, but the New VARIG really needs to have a new identity, there was a scheme posted here on this site with a similar style to TAP when the rumours were that they were going to buy VARIG it was sweet.

Quoting AF086 (Reply 12): Hello Avianca, I'm not Felipe but I'll try to answer that one.
Heard they would use them indeed for intra-america destinations such as EZE and SCL. Not sure if I heard of BOG or CCS but I think it would be a nice pick too.
thank you very much for the intresting info.... indeed service to CCS would be very nice, they are currently offering the daily service to and from CCS via the Varig pax flight (B.767-300) and 1 x weekly (I think saturday) a MD11-F flight to JFK-GRU....

Looks good... Still, being owned by the same parent company I don't think it's really a smart move to switch the tail logo.
Anyway concerning the livery, they stuck to the philosophy 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' - I still think that the 1997 livery launched with PP-VPA is and remains the best one - and just changed small details (something that was agreed on when Varig was bought by MP if I'm not mistaken). I have to admit, at first I wasn't really into the wavy colors, now I think they are really cool and a nice touch. I'm not to fond of the billboard titles though... Never have been as they don't suite every airline.

I like it but given all the problems VARIG has has, I though that a completely new paint job for both might have been in order although I appreciate cost is an issue here....but new start and all that....??
