After it was suggested that Oasis Hong Kong should consider to fly to HAM instead of BER in another thread, this leads me to this question:
Which airline, apart from PA and nowadays IR, has scheduled service to HAM with 747s or has had 747 service to HAM?
I was browsing through the database and found several carriers that came to HAM with 747s, like NW, JL and KE, but I'm not sure if those were simply flights to Lufthansa Technik or indeed revenue flights.

What i could remember, PA never had 747 services to HAM. IR came in with 747SP before they switched to A300-600. During the 80´s we got SA)">NW (before switching to FRA), LH and JL. Later for a short period SA came to HAM via MUC. I could not remember KE, but maybe that was prior my move to HAM.

PA and SA were certainly revenue flights. Exactly 27 years ago today we moved from Hamburg to New York and if I remember correctly we flew non-stop on a PA 747.

Quoting LTU932 (Thread starter): After it was suggested that Oasis Hong Kong should consider to fly to HAM instead of BER
I tend to think that expert planners at O8 would have a better idea of routes which offer the greater opportunity for profitablity than A.netters. But perhaps I'm being unduly pessimistic.

The college next to me is an ex PA guy. Acc. to him PA never had scheduled services with the 747 to HAM. Both pics have to be considered being unscheduled landings maybe due to foggy (Cat III) conditions in FRA. What i know, PAs 747-100 and SPs were not CAT III capable.
PAs scheduled services to and through HAM were mostly LHR-HAM-TXL and vv. with 727s or 737s and for some seasons JFK-HAM-VIE and vv. with A310s.
Not every appearance documented with a photo means that this is a scheduled service...
