Mexicana put tickets for its new Bakersfield to Guadalajara flight on sale.
The start had been delayed several times due to construction problems with the new International Arrivals/FIS building being created from the old terminal. But the FIS should be finished in 5 or 6 weeks.
First flight will be March 30, perfect timing since the following week is Spring Break for most schools in the Central Valley. It should give families a chance to spend some of the holiday with relatives.
The schedule is 3 days a week and will operate on an A319. The FAT start must have influenced that since FAT-GDL started smaller on an A318 3X/week and is now on a larger A320 5 days a week.
Flights departing BFL are on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 1:10 AM. Roundtrips out of BFL are priced at $465 including taxes.

Terrific news for Mexicana and its continuous expansion to the United States!!!! Just flew MX this week to LAS and I must say their new blue interiors which are now in all the fleet as well as its service, despite a few cuts in the food, are among the best!!! Way to gooooooooo Mexicana!!!!
